XG3140
I have an XG3140 and have been very happy with it for the past 8 years. Today I started to hook up my disc and move it under the lean to. Everything worked great until I lowered the 3 point hitch and it was not moving much at all, maybe 1 inch in 10 to 15 minutes, it would go up normally but down is a different story. Fluid is right on the upper mark. Any info about this problem?

Check the knob below the seat. It adjusts the speed the 3 pt hitch lowers, or if fully closed, will prevent it from lowering at all. It won't affect the speed it raises or anything else in the hydraulic system.

It's common for the operator to hit with the legs while looking at the back, which eventually will rotate it.

I went out to the shop and checked the knob and that was the problem. Thanks for the info. If I would have used the search I would have found the answer. There is even an answer towards the bottom of this page. DUH

It's nice when there are easy resolutions.

One issue with my LS is the 3 point up/down control. I wish there was a way to make it have a lot more finesse, there is no happy medium there no matter how much I tinker with the adjustments. Or, maybe I haven't tinkered enough, and there is a sweet spot?
