X749 Hydro pedal pressure

Has anybody noticed the change in foot pedal pressure required as the load changes on JD lawn mowers. I have a new X749. When you climb hills or embankments it requires lots of foot pressure to keep the tractor moving. My dealer says this is normal.

Just be sure the rpm of the engine doesn't drop while doing that, and you will be fine.

I find it takes more pedal pressure with higher loads but not enough to worry about. I have tried mine out on a real steep ditch bank and first noticed this. It does require more force than the larger tractors with ehydro's but these are electrically operated.
