X724/744 and attachments

Thoughts or opinions on the x724? Does the AWS limit attachments? I have read conflicting reviews. Can any owners or knowledgeable

I've sifted through this a bit and about the biggest DNF is the 7 iron deck. Guys are blowing snow and roto tilling with 4ws models. We demo'd a 724 and while the 4ws was nice it was just a bit too goofy for us.

If you get to do a demo I'd be curious to hear how the diesel vs gas hydro response/acceleration/speed is.

I have a wide assortment of attachments for my x749 and it works well with them. With AWS you can not use the 7 iron deck or a fel, seems to be fine with everything else.

You can use the FEL but Deere doesn't want you too, they are top heavy and are unstable, but it can be done.

Two details to note, there is an interference on the frame for the rear support of the 45 FEL ((left side). The hydraulic pump is 4.5 gpm where as most of the X Series is 6.0.

It's a minor interference with the rear steer bracket that has an easy fix.

Tommy, Your setup was my inspiration.

Did you modify the bracket and eliminate one of the bolts?

Did you add any shims?

I modified the bracket, but did not have to modify the 4WS idler arm bracket. I shimmed the hydro to 1250 psi. Works great.
