I'm trying to find a different place to get blades for my 62" deck. I just installed my third set of blades for this year. The soil here is very sandy and it seems to wear the blades pretty quickly. Although I do cut a lot of grass each week - usually about 8-9 acres a week.

At $54 a pop, it can get pretty expensive.

Anyone found a cheaper place too buy blades?

I hope you are sharpeing these several times before just throw them away

I have only bought 1 set in the past 5 yrs mowing about 2-3 acres each time and then just because I wanted one with more lift to help clean the deck
JD about once a yr has a special where you buy 2 get the 3rd free or a maybe 50% off the 3rd blade

I do sharpen them when I can. The problem is the end of the blade gets rounder off and sometimes they get thin out on the cutting end.
