X485 John Deere

I just bought a John deere X485 tractor. Very expensive but I love it. I was wondering if there is any attachments that are reasonable to cut under trees? I have pine trees and of course the grass is high under the bottom branches. I don't want to get to close and scratch up my tractor, so I was wondering if they make something that goes under trees, etc to cut.

Welcome to the forum.

I know of no attachment, but I use a brush cutter with a weedwhip attachment on the end (when my wife doesn't get it done with a push mower). And that is for 3500 trees in a field.

Would like such an attachment and some here have built some side mowers that might work for you. A search might find some threads on the forum that will help you build something.

It's called Roundup, or look for something with glyphosate in it as a substitute now that the patent is run out. Just spray around the tree in a big circle at least 2' away from the tree.
