First Post - thanks for having me - I have a 1/2 acre FLAT lot and I move a 1000 lb Jetski on a trailer (with wide tires) about 150 ft once or twice every month or so. I have been doing this with a '89 Monkey Ward Transmatic but parts are getting difficult to find so I was thinking a JD X380 would be a good choice due to the K58. Stopped by a JD dealer and they were more comfortable with a X500 series but just over budget. I will also be adding a FEL as I will need move sand to the bulkhead (about 200ft) after severe storms - not the norm and at the moment the transmatic has no issues with the task pulling a trailer - getting older and shoveling a yard or two of sand (many trailer loads) at a time is getting less enjoyable. Observations, thoughts. comments welcome.

FEL makes life a lot easier, don't know much about the John Deere SCUTs but it is not often you hear someone say they wish the had bought a smaller tractor. If your lot is not so congested that the larger SCUT will create issues (can not see how it would) IMO go big.

You can probably find the aforementioned SCUT at prices close to those JD prices. The financing on new units is attractive too! Many other manufacturers like Massy, LS, Kioti, Branson, TYM.

It would be worth your while to check them out. You might be able to find very low hour units for sale either by an individual (but then not easily financed) or at a dealer as a trade -in.

Good luck with your search!

For what you've going to pay for an X series and adding an FEL, I would jump up to a 1023E or 1025 R or competitors equivalent SCUT.

None of the X series lawn tractors, including the top of the line X-700 series have an available loader from Deere.

Going to have to move up to the 1 series (1023E or 1025R) for a loader.
