Got 50 hours on my x485 how hard is it to do the break in maintenance yourself? or should I carry it to the dealer? any suggestions. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Can't say for you, but I found the service to be very easy and with good instructions in the book.

Take a look at your manual and I think you'll see it's all pretty simple. You can definately save some money doing it that way... and take that money and put it towards more toys...errr... tools!

I had a 485 and found the 50 hour service not too bad. The biggest issue is whether doing it yourself is truly that much cheaper than having your dealer do it, but I can say it is a project that is easily done.

Like the others have commented, do it yourself and I think it's good to get to know the machine a bit better, i.e., looking around underneath as well.
