Well to my amazement a new 4320 came in so I took it for a small test drive. First impressions:
Nice machine compared to the older 4000 and TENs. Same rear fenders and I match placement as larger framed 4000 TENs.
Plastic hood improved to X series quality finally. Not the cheap stuff on the older 4000s. OK it was not that bad but not as nice as the X series IMHO.
It is a pretty big compact. After driving it, it felt the same size as the 5205 we used to have on the lot.
Digital dash! Tells info like Lo Fuel, ground speed which is very neat to look at when driving, Hrs, etc.
The engine reves way up when you start it for a second the drops down to idle. Great sounding engine and it is quiet. Not louder than the Yanmars.
E Hydro is unchanged from previous versions and is nice.
Non suspended pedals are like my 990 so I am used to it but I find pedal effort no more difficult. I like them.
Gas tank opening is very small like 2''. Not as nice as the older 4000s with the big cap. My 4300 easy to fill at the pump this 4320 looks difficult. We will probably see a lot of faded plastic on the dash due to fuel spillage.
The tires are big and the front axle is the same design from the 4000 series.
The hood latch needs to be changed. It has 2 pointy ends and is like a U shape. All bare metal I would have added ruber grips on the ends. There is no springs or hood latch to hold the hood up that I could see it rasies way high in the air and is kind of awkward to lower. I would like to see a hood latch and or gas shocks to hold it up.
Would I buy one? Maybe kind of a neat tractor with the turbo and all. I would get one in turfs and a Power reverser and probably be happy with it.
