if you want or should i say have to have a/c in your utv then it's not really getting the outdoors feeling right??? now on the other hand if you ar on the farm and want something just for working and no play then yes i would get the bota. i would even love to jump into an a/c cooled cab after doin some work. but for something that is for both work and play go with the gator.

Yeah if I had something in addition to the gator I would get the 1100 but really it isn't like your outside in the open air. Might as well almost get a truck for the price too.

You've not seen the "stuck on the platform of rollers with the concrete block in front of the wheel" demo? There are RTVs all over the place out there stuck on those platforms because they don't have a locking front differential, so they are supposedly not 4WD.

There's 4wd then there's "true" 4wd. Now on some machines including (but not limited to) your RTV you have a 4wd system which does NOT include a means to lock both front wheel. What you are left with are 2 wheels which can always get power (the back ones) and 2 wheels which under normal conditions get power (the front ones). Now when one of the front wheels meets resistance of any sort all of the power is diverted from that wheel and sent to the one with little resistance. If say you are climbing a steep hill and hit a slick patch or are just barely able to keep traction, once traction on one wheel is lost (in the front) it will spin and the other will have 0 power. On things like the new HPX's and the XUV you have a locking front differential which will lock itself once slipage occurs.
