First time I read a negative review on R4s, what kind do have?

There are lots of bad vibes every time someone gets stuck in mud or snow. Then it's a love fest for them when it's summer on the lawn. Split the difference and you have the attraction of R4's; half of this and half of that.

I have R4's now but would rather have Turf with Chains but that's not in the cards right now (money wise...) I just stay out of wet areas since R4 is near worthless in our slick mud.

I drive an 7,000 lb Deere over lawns in the summer with R-1's BUT I have huge Firestone radials on it and rarely leave a mark. 5! PSI rears and with 80HP and radial tires I can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Radial R-1's are the real answer to the endless spy vs spy (R-1 vs R-4) thing but the solution is pricy.

And the other side of the "best of both worlds" coin is "worst of both worlds". I find they still tear up the lawn as easy as R1s and suck as bad in snow/ice/mud as much or more than any of them. To me, where R4s shine the most is in how tough they are for driving over stuff and being less concerned about punctures or tears.

My oldest boy used him younger brothers bike. I came back on a trailer.

I was riding as passenger with my buddy on his Honda 250 dirt bike many years ago (30+). We were maybe 13-14. Went out in a plowed field in spring and tried to drive through a water-filled area. Stuck that thing over the axles in nothin' flat. This was 50-100 feet from the nearest relatively dry ground. Had zero idea how we'd get it out, other than wait until everything dried up. Next day saw that it was gone. Apparently the farmer was able to go out with a tractor & loader and go right up to it and pull it out. Have no idea how he could have driven through that mud. This was back before front-wheel-assist tractors were very popular, but it may have been one of those. The bike looked like these pics pretty much.

Maybe you need to get out of OK. I have had my truck on mine, jerking. 3000lb winch would not do it. I use my winch a lot. Should go bigger. But I am up north in the woods.

3 come alongs on back. Up hill. When rears were on solid ground, built up 4-6 foot logs and pushed back. Firewood just floated or got buried..

Spot I normally drove on.
