Believe me, I bleed red and suffered many years of disappointment with the Sox.Actually Rhode Island is at the frontier of Red Sox Nation. There are Yankees fans here, and they don't even feel the need to hide their allegiance, they go about brazenly. The local radio has both the Boston and NY sports scores.
