No matter what you do it will not be completely correct. In the last house I had vehicle repair and mechanic tools in the detached garage and the wood and house shop in the basement. Spouse was very sensitive, allergy type, to fumes from paint and solvents and complained about dust. Shop space separate from house was needed. I wanted all shops in the same area as I was always running from the garage to the basement or vis versa to get something that was in the other location. The new place has a 30'x95 outbuilding that is mine, heated w/ floor. Spouse still complains about dust, now she can't blame it on me. Fume problem has disappeared but now I hear about how I'm not around cause I'm always in the shop. ???????????
