Well, I have taken some photos of the plow and believe it to be a Horst Welding snowplow. It has the ID tag / model / serial #. Plus... it has fixed shoes. These are part of a bracket which is bolted to the plow by running bolts through the bracket for the feet and then through the back of the plow and the cutting edge.

I have a few pics. Just need to figure out how to attach them ----- then I will interested to hear what you all think

In the pic looking up at the foot you can also see the nuts attached to the through bolts holding the bracket in place.
Thanks for your inputs

IMG_1996.jpgIMG_2001.jpgCan you do a picture of the whole plow blade, I've never seen one like that with those type of shoes/skids before.Zoom in on those adjustable Shoes/skids in pictures, are the type that has been around for the HLA 1000,2000,3000 models for at least the past 4 or 5 years.

I decided to go straight to the source and gave Horst a call. They tell me that in 2007, the year my plow was manufactured, it was standard to produce the SB200096 with fixed shoes as are seen in the photos I sent. They do not have a standard "conversion" kit to go to the adjustable shoes but I am sure if I decide it is worth the time I can build my own brackets and attach them to the moldboard. Just thought I would post this info and add a couple more pictures just Back of plow from drivers side.jpgBack of plow from passenger side.jpgto close the loop

Ah got it, thanks for the pictures. It does look like a nice plow for being built in 2007, someone took care of it and I'm sure you"ll get your use out of it.

Well, 2007 was almost 10 years ago... looks like a fine plow, and a new HLA 2000 probably would be close to $2500 or maybe even more? Adding shoes is doable, if you need to.

Oh, if only they were ONLY $2500. The price I was quoted about 3 weeks ago for a new unit was just a shade over $4200 picked up at the local dealer - that was for a HLA 2000 96". In any case glad I have this and its all mounted, plumbed, etc. Well under $1800 all in....and its to snow tonight!

Oh yeah, the HLA 2000, 84" I purchased last year was around $3,800.if my old memory serves me it was delivered to Randell Equipment, expensive but I believe worth it, Good heavy duty piece of equipment that should last years if taken care of. They do make a 90"one too but the 84" was a good fit for me.
