Just bought a 2014 workmaster 55 and noticed the fuel filter and cut off has two ons? Is one a bypass for the fuel filter? Also does anybody know if you can add a detent on to the standard remote hydraulics that comes with it.

Sounds like dealer questions. Not a huge subset of owners on here yet.

Dealer said its a reserve he thinks but I don't see how it can be a reserve with one line coming from fuel tank which is gravity fed.

Nobody has a workmaster 55?

Motorcycles (at least in my day) had a two On positions (1 regular, 1 reserve) with one line feeding them. My mid 70s Honda CB is set up that way.

Not sure myself.... I noticed the two "on" positions while doing 50 hour maintenance. The switch is set up the same as a motorcycle's reserve tank, but I've never heard of a tractor having a reserve feature.

Nothing in the manual about it.... My guess is there is no reserve and the switch is either a bypass or works in two different positions.

(When I see the fuel gauge getting low, I can still hear my old man telling me to not run it dry! I always keep extra fuel on hand and don't take chances...)

I called my dealer and he had no idea what I was talking about. I called back just now and he said he looked at the one on the lot. It was straight up like in the manual but didn't really know for sure. His mechanic said it mite be to help bleed it. The best I could get was he would check with the NH rep and get back to me. So maybe in a few weeks we will know.

I checked with my dealer and they thought it was a reserve as well. I have a question for you guys as I have only had mine a couple days. . . When you are at operating temp, where is the temp gauge? Mine has not moved in 2-days?

After mine warms up it stays in the broken part of the line. Not a good description I know. There is I think a blacked out spot 1/3 of the way between hot and cold.
