Working on a friend's 861 Powermaster

Buddy of mine had some issues with the tractor not starting and fuel leakage. Got those problems solved with a GOOD coil from NAPA, a new fuel shut off valve under tank and an auxiliary shut off at the fuel bowl. I thought I'd pop a few pics up cause it really takes a good pic. Actually,the paint is not as pretty as the pics suggest, but heck here they are anyway.

Looks like a pretty nice machine. You might want to keep an eye on the plastic and rubber hose running that close to exhaust system. I know that the old steel lines were run thru there but most guys when changing over to rubber are hanging a left out of the sediment bowl and routing lines toward the front of the engine. I don't thing the routing thru the intake/exhaust pipes was one of fords best ideas to begin with. Even buying a replacement hose at the dealer are partially rubber now and ain't cheap.

Yeah Kirk, I've been thinking about that. Might put a protective cover of some sort over the fuel line. It don't touch the exhaust part of the manifold at all,but does touch the governor rod bracket/manifold bolt a little. Thanks for the heads up.

Kirk, I agree, that routing thru the mainifold was a bit chinsey for ford.

As you mentioned. On any I re-line, I will bend up some brake line and run forward in front of engine, aft of fan, rest on gen bracket and then hit carb.
