Work lights for a BX

The ONE major thing I wanted to avoid was doing anything to the ROPS, least of all drilling a hole into it. While it would make for a clean install, and I doubt that a couple small holes would negate the usefullness of the ROPS if I rolled her, I can just imagine the liability issue if I were to ever trade up to another tractor....

use the tie wraps to hold wires where u want them, then in a few spots use silicone rtv.caulk. let it cure then remove tie wraps.

Very clean installation Scott. Good job.

The post about flipping the lights over is also very good. For routing the wires, a good instrument house has black vinyl covered 1/4" or 3/8" copper tubing, and also 1/4" and 3/8" stainless tubing. If my ROPS was not folding I would put the wire inside the tubing, and strap the tubing onto the rops with really big wire ties.

Scott, Mt TSC flood lamp (looks like yours) is not too much of a flood. It almost has the trapezoid pattern. Is yours a true flood?

If you did mount the lights under the ROPS do you think the forward looking one would effectively work spreading the light? Also, where did you pick up the lights and bracket?

I tried mounting the lights under the ROPS, but If I turned my head just right or bounced around, I hit it with my head, so therefore, on top they go! You are right about the rear flood, Id isn't much of a flood, but it's enough to see what I'm doing behind me.

I like the idea of the coated tubing though, and I'm gonna try and find some. The could be tough around here, though....

Here is a picture of the light I installed on my BX2200. Mounted the toggle next to it on top. Works great when running implements at night.
