Woods m5-4 rotary cutter

I have a woods m5-4 and the stump jumper has been beaten up badly, seems to be causing a lot of vibrations.

My local woods dealer wants $208 for the part, is there any cheaper alternatives? Are there any universal or aftermarket type replacements?

I have a Woods 5'er, It is something like a M-60 or some such model.
I replaced the deck and stump jumper about 10 years ago.
I made my own jumper from 1/4" steel.
I cut a round circle and went around it and hammered the edge up like it should be.
I did it cold but don't remember much about how I did it. ???
It's still working!

Two hours to remove this sucker! Any thoughts on if it's salvageable?

If this guy cuts land that caused the original damage to that stump jumper, I'd definitely get a new one! Or he'll be replacing a spindle. Unless the OP likes to cut and weld, in which case he'd not have asked about it.

These are NOT finish mowers! They are meant for serious cutting/clearing.
The Stump Jumper is mandatory on my cutter. I will back up and lower on bushes and 2" saplings and mow them to the ground.
You can't do that without the jumper.
If the OP can't fabricate a new one then it's time to pay for one.

Yeah I will say my property grows more rocks than grass so a stump jumper is a must for me.

I am going to take what's left of it and bring it to a welder and see if they can help me out!
