The Woods GBC48 has a weight of 285 pounds and he GB48 has a weight in the low 400s. Is the GB48 too much for the BX to pull. The GB48 looks like it is also made better. I was quoted $420 for the GBC48, and I'm not sure if that's on the high side.

Jim,

I have a Bush Hog SBX-480 430 lbs.

http://www.bushhog.com/turftoc.html

BX handles it No problem.

It is an art using a box blade. There are several threads on BB operation with a BX they are worth a read. I read them before I used mine and it reduced my learning curve considerably.

I Got mine at Emerichs last year. I'll have to look up what I paid. I know they have gone up slightly.
