I just purchased a Woods BH1050 backhoe to run on our Long 2610. We had an older Woods unit years ago and sold it after the project we needed it for was complete. I now have a lot of little things that need to be done which would be accomplished much more efficiently with a 3 pt hitch backhoe.
My snafu is that this attachment has the PTO pump like the other one we had, but it is a 21 pt, 1000rpm pump... and the Long is a 540rpm 6 pt pro. I have attempted to purchase a new 540 pump from woods but it is way out of line price wise and no stock anyways. I even looked for something comparable that would work, the woods tech told me to look at the 90 series pumps and he thought it would work, but still $1000.
I wish I could find someone that had an old pump and I would buy it and rebuild it. That would be great or better yet have one that they no longer need or an extra that works and buy it. Or result to an aftermarket PTO pump and use it. There must be a reasonable way to get around this.
Thanks for any help you may offer...
