Did you ask them if they can bill you for the rest after you've used it for 6 months?

Good question. In fairness to them the deposit isn’t huge, $100. I’d gladly pay for it if they give me an exact ship date, heck I’m fairly certain every other implement I’ve ordered was 100% paid upfront with 6-8 week estimated lead times.

Has the 9900 always been 100% made in USA or maybe I was thinking of the smaller units?

The current website states even the steel and knife bolts of the 9900 is made in USA.

Can’t say for sure but I thought the 8800 and 9900 were their made in USA models and were added to their lineup later?

All their chippers use USA made blades. The four digit hydrostatic drive models are made in the US. The others are made in China to Woodmaxx's spec/design.

When I ordered my snowblower from them there was a delay too, probably a month. They come on a slow boat across the ocean and when I called in the month I was expecting it to arrive they could confirm the container had arrived at the port but didn't know when it would clear customs. After that it had to make its way across the country to them in NY for final assembly.

I didn't really care about the delay because the deposit was only $100 and I could get it back at any time AND the price of the snowblower was so much better than any of the others I had priced out.

Ordered a WM-8M from them three weeks ago. It came in in about ten days. Used it last weekend, very happy with the performance. Perhaps just a little more assembly required than I was expecting, but not bad. I'd recommend them.

My WM8H is going on it’s 6th year now and works as advertised. I don’t recollect any delay issues when I made the purchase. Shipped to a local trucking terminal where I picked it up.
Assembly took about 3 or 4 hours.
