The point was radiant energy does travel from the point sources it was emitted from. The emissions may be of variable intensity and frequency.

conductive heat transfer - via solid contact, like the fan base setting on the stove top

stove heats the surrounding air by convection. those ads u see about convection ovens are misleading. No fan is needed for convection. Moving air speeds up the transfer, but convective transfer happens in air weather external movement is used or not.

We did a experiment to see how heat effected molecular movement. Four glass beakers, one with water at 39 degrees F. One with water at room temperature (was measured to be 68 degrees F.) One beaker with 130 degree water and one with water at approximately the boiling point.

A drop of red dye was placed in each beaker to watch what happened to the dye at different temperatures.
Our question to answer was, which beaker had the most mixing of the one drop of red dye and what caused the mixing of the dye?

electromagnetic is a broad term of all wave lengths and infrared is a specific to the radiant heat spectrum
