Cross does have a web site. Maybe check there.

Q: I just put a Prince control valve on and it’s leaking out the back of the valve. What went wrong?
A: There is a very good chance that the outlet line (return to tank line) has been pressurized. Just one tank line spike, over 300 psi, can cause the valve to leak at either the handle or the spool end cap.
Diagram for PB valve and log splitter except that you want to install the log lift valve as first valve.

If you are installing the log lift valve first because the PB would feed the the log splitter valve, then the following is true.
You can tee them at the end of each valve, and run one return hose to the filter..
Do you know that the first valve will have priority concerning fluid flow.
For instance, if the log lift valve is first in the series path, then if you were using the second valve in line, operation of the log lift using max lever will stop the log splitter.
The log splitter valve is usually in the auto detent retract mode, and this is when the log splitter would stop.
You could get away with half lever and allow some fluid to flow to the log splitter valve, therefore using both valves at the same time.
No big thing, but just be aware of this.
Did you get the PB adapter for the PB port, if not, you would connect them in series as some have done, however at some risk.
If you can not find a PB adapter, then plug the PB port and connect the return port from the first valve to the IN port of the second valve.
You could use the PB port or the return port as the return, just plug one of them.
The reason is that an unused PB port is connected internally to the return port and they both will do the same job.
