I have a brave wood splitter that I modified with a log lift. When I added the valve for the log lift just plumbed the outlet of the splitter valve into the inlet of the log lift valve. It works fine but I have an ongoing issue with the splitter valve leaking at the back of the spool. Keep in mind this has happened on two valves. The first, a Cross valve, lasted about a hundred hours. I replaced the o rings in the spool and it lasted ten hrs and started leaking again. So, I replaced it with a prince valve today since I didn't like the cross valve anyway. I split wood for two hours today and my brand new valve is already leaking right where the old one did. I am afraid I caused this by not plumbing the valves together by using the power beyond ability on my log lift valve. Any one have any thoughts? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Drew

That is a good example of back pressure blowing out the seals.

I keep saying don't connect the OUT port of one valve to the input of another valve, but people still do it.

Always use PB if you can.

Did either of the valves have PB option?

Thanks for the reply. Yes the valve for the log lift has a pb plug. So I suppose the fix is to plumb the lift valve first then come off the pb to the splitter valve?

Thanks. The valve that has power beyond is a Cross and I understand you have to take the pb plug out and install a pb "kit". Is this true? And if so is there a good place to find that kit?

Im not familiar with the cross brand, but usually there is a PB adapter plug, yes. You remove the solid plug from the PB port and install the PB adapter. That is then plumbed to the next valve. The existing "Out" port from the cross valve goes back to TANK.

Wherever you bought your Cross valve would likely have the PB adapter

Well the problem is I bought the valve at the local tsc store and they don't carry any accessories such as that. I'm sure google can help. Thanks for the help! I knew I should have done this in the first place... I Jst wasn't sure how or who to ask but this website has changed that!
