I like grilling with charcoal and sometimes I grill with oak wood. I was searching for info on brick grills when an outdoor wood burning oven caught my attendtion. You can bake pizzas, breads and if you want meat. I kinda settle on inside size of 26" wide, 30" r so deep with a 17" arch at peak. Those with wood burning ovens do these sizes sound correct? If you have an outdoor wood burning oven could you post a pic of it? Thanks.

You can 'edit' your own post if you do it early enough, your 2 minutes would of been plenty of time.

As soon as the house is built, about 2 more months, I will start on my carport/shed. When I pour for the carport I will pour another 2 to 3 yards for a small outdoor kitchen. I need to start my planning on a foundation for this.
I usually have good footings even on a patio. I need to cut my oakwood now. Guess I will look for some pecan too. I need to go clone myself.
Rick, that sure is nice.

I do have a question. Where do you get the burning air from. Just from the front?

I'm almost done putting one in. Used the oven from superior clay, cost 1500 or so.

I'll post project pictures in a week or so. Haven't fired it yet as I've been letting it cure for 30 days.

Also doing a grill and smoker at the same time.

Superior clay has lots of good info if you look at the pdfs.

at our farmers market there is a vendor who brings one on the back of his flatbed truck and cooks pizza at the market.

Over here everybody has one, jsut a regional thing I guess. Good luck with yours I am positive you will enjoy it once you have one. You need to jsut get a very long pole with a thin metal plate that is round so that you can slip it under your pizzas and move your pizzas around the oven from hot to cool spots. Here they do not put doors on the ovens. They just put a half circle made out of metal with a handle in the center in front of the oven opening.
