I sit typing this from a hotel in Pittsburgh. I am here to compete at the annual National Truck Driving Competition after winning on the state level in the 5 Axle Class. My new T2220 sits lonely at home while I'm spending my vacation down here!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the good lucks. This is the third time I've moved to the nationals. I've won the 4 axle class twice prior on the state level. This is my first time here for 5 axle. I pulled a 19th in '06, and a 16th in 2007. Not bad considering I'm competing against the other 49 state first placers for the class!

Bottom line is it sure looks good on a resume and makes for some good bench racing.

There's a video on my site. Much better in the dvd form I made, but 600meg is hard to share online.

Looks to be an off year. So far I have taken the written and today the driving skills tests. If I break into the 30's out of 49 in my class I'll be quite surprised. Sigh.......

I still have the inspection portion of the skills tests to do tomorrow, so hopefully I can recoup a little of my score, but it'll be tough.
