Just to clarify.. it is a very small store.. 30 steps long ways & about 15 steps wide..
I'll try again this morning.. hopfully "Mr. Helpful" ISNT answering phones..
& its a 150 mile R/T.. & the only store that carries this item, within driving distance.

I wouldn't make the trip unless they guy had the part in hand and put my name on it. A couple times by the time I got to the store it was gone.

A close friend of mune went to the local Cub Cadet / Echo dealer to get a front mount mower. This place has generally 25-40 units in a big showroom. He came in, sat on some,mover levers back and forth etc. for an hour and a quarter. Not once did a salesman acknowledge him. He walked out and drove to a TSC a mile away and loaded one up. I have had the same experience there myself.

Three years ago I was looking at Echo saws in the same small town store. The salesman said the basic 60cc saw is what most people buy and the price was $400 approx .plus tax. The price seemed fair. This was in March I believe. After looking at a brochure in the store I said I wanted the price of a same CC but a higher HP model they offer but didn't have any in stock. He gave me a price of $600 approx or so. I said I will take it and asked when he could get it in. I asked it it would be a next day type shipment or a couple weeks. He said I could get it by February. I told him I misunderstood him, and to repeat it. He said February again I thought. I asked what gives? He said the only time they only order things at the end of the year. I said, no thanks. I then went on line and bought one for $500 approx, no shipping or tax.

Well my saga continues..
I called the store YESTERDAY & spoke w/ a very intelligent sales person.. who told me they sold the last one yesterday..
& proceeded to tell me they get a truck in on Monday & to check back then or just "come on down" & take a walk-thru.
I explained my plight about living 75 miles away..& this was my 3rd phone call "trying to buy 1" & he was fully understandable..
He informed me that when I called back Monday to find out if there are any on "the truck".. to speak w/ a manager & explain my dilemma & depending on who was working, THEY MIGHT put my name on 1.. but as of right now.. co policy is "no holds"..
& the don't offer a "ship to store" on their website..
It was a FAR CRY from the previous, "I don't know" response I got from the last "maroon"..{Bugs Bunny}

If you were to elaborate on what 'it' is, maybe ... just maybe somebody could come up with another source. No guarantees.

It just a simple table top sandblast cabinet, from HF..
I tried to get 1 shipped to the house but it was something like 58.00 freight charges.!!!
I like the HF one because of its size.. its not to small & not to big.. I really have no use for a large free-standing one.
& I can almost see some eyes rolling.. lol
Just because someone works at HF doesn't mean they aren't capable of answering questions or taking their job seriously..
I "kinda" proved that w/ my last phone call to the store.
