Winter weight

We do not heat with wood and I am not a go to the gym work out or play basketball kinda guy. I can usually stay pretty active in the shop in the winter. We also do more outside once the ground freezes. So i usually put on a few right around thanksgiving in the fall. Not this year..... so I wonder if that means a long cold winter?

A lot easier to work when it's not so HOT! Just firewood is miserable stuff to handle wet!

Agreed, I do a lot of chores in the fall when it cools down for firewood and such. Just moved 32 tons of rock, most every one of them moved from the bucket to final resting position by hand. Mid-thirties for temps and wind ahowlin', stayed just warm enough not to be cold. I did 150 feet years ago without a tractor, tractor made it much more enjoyable. And yes, my winter weight is an annual thing for sure.

.........When I clicked on the thread though, I thought that it was going to be about the best way to add ballast to your car or truck; and I was going to suggest inner tubes filled with sand.

This thread isn’t so much about inner tubes filled with sand as it’s about spare tires filled with Ring Dings.

If you ever carried a car battery any distance or up stairs, you have to relaize how much you have to work to carry extra weight around.
