You are now the 3rd member of TBN to own a snowcat that I know of. I have an Aktiv Snow Trac. As you may know, Snow Tracs were used in Norway by the British Commandos. If I understand it correctly, the Volvo 202 replaced the Snow Tracs sometime in the 1970's?
See if you can find BigAl, he owns a few Kristi cats in various stages of restoration. I doubt if any of the Kristi ever made it to Norway where you are, but they were made in Colorado and most of the remaining units are still in North America.
I'm a member of 3 forums that have dedicated snowcat areas, if you want to talk with other folks who share your interests, let me know and I can tell you where those other forums are.

Talking to other BV folks would be interesting. I have had an "Aktiv" for many years, but for quite another purpose, harvesting! But you probably already know that the company made combines for many years, using some the same components, mainly the variator. Lots of variator parts in Scandinavia! (If they are interchangable)

Bob, you have any snow over there? I can still see the grass through most of it here. What am I, about 80-90 miles east of you? Really slow snow season. Wish we had a foot or so to go cross country skiing. Any snow in the dunes areas?
