Filled tires will definitely help there. So will coming into the pile from half way up, and scooping upwards and tilting backwards as you put the bucket into the pile.
This ^^

Thanks for the suggestions / tips. Tomorrow I will be tackling the pile again, I 'll see how it goes. Won't get the tires filled by then, but I'll try different approachs to the pile.

I recently added a Piranha bar to my LS and it made digging with the bucket easier.

My tires were loaded when I purchased the tractor so cannot comment on how much loading them will help

One reason rear tires should be loaded is because it is the most beefy of the two axles and you want most of the grunting done with the rear axle. Owners manuals generally tell you to fluid the rear tires and possibly add rear weights also.

so far i see and agree with these 3 conclusions
1. load tires
2. tooth bar
3. operator finesse with bucket use
you should have GREATLY increased results

Yeah, I've used the bucket on my little tractor enough to figure out that I cannot get a full bucket using brute force just driving into a pile, I start out that way to get a level bite at the bottom (usually moving dirt), then tilt back and lift up while moving forward. Not that much of that helps with a 4000lb 26 hp tractor (filled rears) with a 4' wide bucket with a level lift system that barely tilts back... when mine spins tires it doesn't often leave holes depending on the terrain.

Yes, I had a regular tooth bar on my little MT125 and it made a big difference. I have attempted to call and email BXpanded multiple, make that numerous times without a response and can't even get a price! EXCEPTIONALLY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT !!

I'll probably get another regular tooth bar from Neat Farms. Much better price and fast shipping.

They work just as well LS mt125 . . . ;)
