The width of the snowblower (54") should be slightly larger than the width between the outside of your rear tires. According to the Kubota specs you should have a rear tire width (footprint) of around 43" +/- depending on tires. You will be fine with this blower.
I have a 64" Puma on my B2710 which has a about a 56" rear tire width.
$975 is a real good price if it's in good shape. MSRP for that blower with manual chute and deflector is around $1600.

Now thats a really great price. Last fall they were $1599 at the dealer I bought mine from. The 64" I actually bought was $1799 + $200 for the hydraulic chute rotator.

I think you get the best price in the spring and summer on snow removal equipment if they have it on the lot and do not what to store it untill winter.

I believe that early spring is the best time. As the summer comes to a close, they realize that the winter is just around the corner. In the snow plow business, it used to be said that if it wasn't sold by Christmas, it will be on the lot till next fall. This usually was the truth, unless there was a few bad storms after the 1st of the year.
