Last year in Farm & Ranch magazine I seen a guy with an old JD & a ice cream maker attached to the PTO - he used a gear box to slow it down & had a 5-10 gallon mixer. He would go to avents & people would rent the tractor & him to make home made ice cream.

Sorry I could not find the Mag to scan the pic - Maybe someone out there seen the same one & has it?

Only things I've hooked to my PTO are the rotary cutter and RFM. I feel like I oughta get out more. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I've seen something similar. At a local Amish market, each year they have a celebration. Outside they setup an old "hit and miss" stationary engine connected to an ice cream maker. I believe it's an old single cylinder 8 cycle Aeromotor.

It's a really neat setup. It'a also quite quiet when it runs, sort of a very slow chuff sound.
