Wife wants the washer and dryer raised up higher

So we have these front loading washer and dryer. You cant add a base to them because the base is built in, GE brand but she still wants them higher. I was thinking a 2x6 frame laid on edge with a 3/4 " plywood top and of course cross braces in between for support. Thoughts?

I would think that'd work, maybe get a stall mat, cut it in half and glue to each platform.

Not for these models, the base is built in and no way too add.

That is what I done except with 2X4s and 3/4 floor board (advantech), cross braces at 12" centers. Had to cut hole for dryer vent and change to bottom exhaust. Was going to add front panel but two clothes baskets slide under shelf and wife is happy. White paint and some trim to finish off. They wanted around $150 each for the bases have about $50 in the shelf.

Also run some rubber strips between the platform and finished floor or set on rubber mat and also fill any empty space inside of your platform with insulation or sound dampening material. The vibration and hollow space will resonate sound if not.

Note to self... stay with top load design when it's time to replace existing top load washer and dryer.

This is going on a concrete floor in a basement laundry room, noise isn't really a concern. Just need them higher off the ground.
