Wide vs narrow Rangers

Had a thought today while heading back to the woods with the chainsaw on my 2004 Ranger tm . There's still a lot of snow on the ground, but I can move around with the 2WD utility vehicle because its track is the same as the 35 hp tractor I use on the logging winch. A narrow-format UTV would not do this as well.

don't know about snow riding but in the mud it's best if your the one making the tracks instead of trying to go through what someone else made.
