This looks like a good site to give an amateur like me a little help with the use of a compact tractor. We have had our JD 4400 for about 9 years and often felt like we were reinventing the wheel.
My wife and I have a small 5 acre "hobby farm" on which we do some gardening but we have a compact tractor for a variety of reasons- chiefly to mow down the vigorous Oregon grasses / weeds (they hit 6 to 7 feet this past, rainy spring
...). My wife actually found the site when she Googled "JD 4400 Tractor won't start". ( I read the forum on that... dealer to pick up the beast tomorrow ). When the verdict comes in on my machine I plan to contribute to that forum.
