Why do people not want to work?

I think Lawyers do have power . Mostly, because they operate like some kind of organized crime. Win, loose or draw, they get their take, as a profession.

I saw a young Police officer in the Grocery store today. I had to do a double or tripple take. He had no side arm or belt and I had to ask him, where was his gun? I thought he might be aux. but he said something about media.

THAT is the first time in a very long time, I saw a cop that was approachable and not looking like some paramilitary operative.

So IT, are lawyers more corrupt or LEOs?

I don稚 see an issue with arrest reports being public record. If we worked on the premise of no news coverage until proven guilty, then we wouldn稚 be aware of the legal issues surrounding OJ Simpson and George Zimmerman. They were both found not guilty in their famous trials.

That travesty of the legal system is a whole different discussion

And there is reason for that.. More LE are becoming untrustworthy..

I don't believe that. The "southern sheriff" as well as the "big city cop on the take" image has been around forever. Some of it based on fact.
It's just that with today's 24 hour news cycle we hear about every incident about a bad apple cop.

I can't think of a single interaction I've ever had with a LEO that wasn't totally professional.

Most people have very little to no leo interaction and that's the reason they think leo's are different from anyone else, wrong.. I have witnessed some pretty corrupt leo's in my time and don't trust a one of them.. It's not very hard to become one, idiots do it all the time.. Lawyers are another story..

So last year we had a crack head kill a sheriff up here, a team of five leo's state, local and warden service leo's, they beat the tar out of the guy when they found him in the woods, they can't even get the story straight between the five of them, 4 say they didn't beat him up, one says they did, so one honest cop out of five ain't bad...

One cop left me wondering. I was side-swiped on I-69 by a guy who came thru my blind-spot and busted off my side-view mirror. He was going fast enough to leave a 4' rubber streak down the side of my car before shooting past me and coming to a stop a good 150 yd down the shoulder from where I'd pulled over.

Officer spoke to Mr Wine Club for several minutes, then asked me "Did you see him coming?" Me, "He came so fast, .. no." She wrote me a ticket for no mirror, as if my bad. Maybe she didn't turn in my insurance info with her report. She seemed agitated and acted like she was late for a fire .. for a whole 55 minutes.

btw, 'His' insurance company tried to hit me for his repairs, as if I had no coverage. ('no fault' rules, right of abrogation, capped in MI at $1k) My company laughed and covered it. My agent represents both ins cos. He isn't afraid of work, and handled it all in a matter of minutes. That lady officer is out there somewhere gritting her teeth and ready to ticket drivers based on .. what, blue jeans vs polo shirt?

The local police chief was removed from his position in MA for having sex with his female officers, he went to SD and became PC, got fired from there for doing the same and went to WI and became PC, same deal there, fired from there and now he works security somewhere, this guy should be in jail...

Statistics will tell you nothing, most corruptions are covered up involving LE..

Most places we do business with that have say 10 employees, there are probably 5 out of the ten that are good at what they do, LE is no different.. Why people think LEO's are some kind of super humans is beyond me..

Something that seems to be mostly overlooked is the fact that a lot of capable people do not apply for jobs because they know going in they can't pass a drug test or voice stress analysis etc...!
