Why do people not want to work?

If it's a child care worker charged with a sexual matter, or a business owner charged with theft or fraud, that persons life can be ruined.

I have seen that happen. In one case it was a substitute teacher, from child's accusation it took police 2 hours to determine that the child was mad at the teacher and paid several classmates $1.00 to support her claim. Result: teacher was fired, blacklisted, and had to sell their house and leave the area. In another case, a day care center was shut down over that accusation. This took 2 months of police investigation to determine that nothing of the sort happened and the reason was that a parent didn't want to pay their bill. Result: All the day care workers lost their jobs and the business was shut down for a year. Many families were affected by this.

Show me some statistics comparing "untrustworthy" LE and other professions. This way we can see if it's a society trend or specific to LEOs. Thanks!!!

I don't see much difference (there are some factors) between the LE industry and any other...it's hard to find good help and one of the things municipal and state level LE departments are doing is relaxing the basic, standard requirements etc. of applicants.
