I have three Knipex pliers and I dunno. They are fiddly to adjust. If only they made a lefthand version to suit the fact that 50% of mechanics/engineer/logical-thinkers are in fact lefthanded.

This is what Knipex has to say:

Left-handed tools are necessary when it is not possible for left-handers to use a “normal” tool, for example in the case of a breadknife, household scissors or a carpenter’s axe.
But pliers usually have a symmetrical design which means they can be operated without a problem in either your right or left hand.
In a few types of pliers there is a “preferred hand”, e.g. when adjusting the*Cobra*water*pump pliers*or the pliers wrench.

They can also be adjusted easily by left-handers, however; different fingers are used here: whereas right-handers use the thumb on their right hand, left-handers use their index finger on their left hand to release the hinge bolt during adjustment.
While this may look a little different compared to the way a right-hander demonstrates or uses the pliers, left-handers get the hang of it very quickly. :)

The point of this post is my wondering over that cheap store branded tools often is quit expensive vs quality tools brands, and people don't see what a few $ more give you in quality.

Over the last 20 years or so, many (not all) Americans have been conditioned to buy the cheapest item. There are many factors causing this. My reasoning is I don’t make enough money to buy the newest and best, except for once in a while, I’ll pry open my bank account. One more serious reason that I theorize is we have kind of all been corralled into buying from big box stores, which usually carry lesser Chinese made products. They are heavily marketed and in our faces all the time.
But seriously, you are absolutely right, people should re examine quality over price more often.
