No one has confessed yet. So still don't know who done it.

A biologist friend voted for a goose - - we do have some living next door to us, but I have never seen them this far from their pond.

Could be the goose laid it by the pond but some varmit swiped it and dropped it where you found it.

We have all our geese turned into summer saugage. You would never know the difference between venison saugage and goose sausage.... Good stuff....

Could be, but it's happened twice. Besides the pictured egg, there was another one further out in the pasture a few days before I found this one.
It's a puzzlement.
