As a new shopper/buyer you hear John Deere and Kubota are number 1 and 2 in sales. I would guess day to day and depending on the source they flip flop.

Who is nipping at their heals and bringing up the rear in the number 3 spot??

I guess I probably could have googled? Just curious and looks like which brands I mentioned as 1st & 2nd may be in the scut or cut space. Thanks

in what HP range were you inquiring about?
less than 50 HP utility or 200 HP + ag tractors?

200 HP + ag I suspect Deere, New Holland (CIH), AGCO, Versatile are the major players.

Does it really matter?
Not really just popped into my head and thought I would ask. Next time I will make sure my observations are at a much higher level.

AGCO is a huge company with Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Valtra leading the way in AG tractors. Heston is their big name in their hay equipment. Challeger & the old Gleaner name in harvesting.
I own some AGCO farm machinery and it is an excellent company for parts & service. Same day & 24hr parts delivered is not uncommon.
AGCO is more in the larger farm machinery market, although MF does offer small tractors. FENDT may be the finest tractor on the face of the earth. I have a 200HP Massey Ferguson and the CVT transmission and rear axle is same as a Fendt tractor.

In my area, it would be Mahindra for under 60 hp tractors.

For CUT US Market, I would Guess
  1. Kubota
  2. John Deere
  3. New Holland - Case/IH

Kioti and LS are the rising stars

Kubota is so far in my area in ahead in small and medium tractor sales,
it's not funny.

I've never seen figures for the US CUT market but maybe a less scientific method would be to look at how many used for sale show up someplace like Tractorhouse. Won't be accurate but it might be as close as you'll find. This is what it shows today for tractors 40hp and under:

KUBOTA (1465)
JOHN DEERE (1365)
MASSEY FERGUSON (624)
KIOTI (395)
NEW HOLLAND (385)
MAHINDRA (341)
INTERNATIONAL (239)
FORD (216)
BRANSON (182)

Of course somebody could maybe argue that people hate Kubota which is why so many used are for sale, or that people love Branson and never resell them, but I'd guess the truth is closer to what you see above.

In my area, it's all Green. Everywhere. Everything. All of it. From lawnmowers to gigantic. Green and yellow.

Nobody else is even close.

Here's a disclaimer, however. It's hard to see all the Farms and equipment most of the time. They're usually off the road by quite a bit.

And guys....... Deere is bigger than Kubota, AGCO, LS MTron, Kioti, Mahindra and Ford (by Market Cap) --

COMBINED.

I'm not a fan, either

#5, MF = AGCO, but they are not a huge player in the small tractor market

Never knew Deere was bigger than AGCO, but I can see that

There is no AGCO Forum on TBN. Massey Ferguson posts are under the Massey Ferguson Forums. (All Other Brands is only 27 pages long)

Thats really weird.
AGCO had their own tractor brand for years. Big and small. lots of "Allis" and "White" DNA in this one.

Allis , White and Agco are not current CUT brands in the US - so not in the top 5 CUT brands in the US.

Yeah, agree, just wondering why we have some pretty obscure tractor manufacturers in the forums, but not an AGCO forum. We do all sizes, as far as I know.

TBN does do all sizes, but I would venture that 95% is 60hp or less.
