shockedwelder,

Make sure the head Honcho at Markham knows of the good things everyone is saying and encourage him to become a paid advertiser here. Yes, we have a lot of members. We know when something works and when something doesn't. We announce it... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
But the fact is, there are so many more people that visit here who are NOT members, so the company stands to gain alot of traffic from this site, member or not.

Oh Yeah.......welcome to the best informational site for tractors, implements, attachements......etc. on the web.

edit.......
With the latest info we got, there were 74,000 unique visitors per month on TBN.....that's a bunch of eyes looking at a Markham ad here /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That would be Alan Markham. I talked to him prior to ordering my toothbar, and got all sorts of good info and advice from him.

Can't wait to get those teeth digging in my yard this weekend.

Thanks KiotiJohn,

It was yours and some other TBN members photo albums that helped out a lot when I was researching tractors, so I figured I should do the same. And it's nice to see other folks machines and the accessories they've added, just in case I'm forgetting something I didn't know I otherwise really needed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I plan to continue to add pics as I work around the yard. Wonder how long it'll take my wife to get tired of taking pictures of me "working" on my tractor?

My Markham toothbar came in the other day and I'll install it this weekend.
Question is: it came with small steel plates bolted at the mount points on either side. Do I use these when installing them or are they just there to protect the bolt threads during shipment??

They are to be welded to the outside of your bucket to reinforce the bolt holes where the toothbar bolts to the bucket.

Alan includes them to weld to your bucket for reinforcing. He told me I could also use them like a reinforcement washer(since it'll be a little while before I can get them welded on), so I'll go ahead and do that for now. He said many customers don't ever use them, but he decided to go ahead and include them anyway, so we can decide for ourselves.

Thanks rswyan and bandit... that makes sense. I think I'll just bolt 'em on until I can borrow a mig welder (and a weldor!).

Well I was finally able to get my Markham tooth bar. I had got a price quote from Leslie back in June but decided to wait, I needed to save up some additional funds so I could purchase a set of their adjustable quick-attach pallet forks at the same time to save on shipping costs. I installed my tooth bar this morning and used it for a couple of hours, I don't know how I got along with out. I tried out the pallet forks to give the my cows a fresh round bale they worked out great also. I have tell you these are some quality attachments they manufacture, and their customer service is topnotch also.

I am waiting on the truck to deliver my Markham toothbar. I am interested in their pallet forks but they don't give much info on their web site. I would appreciate seeing a picture of the set you got or more comments by you on them and their use.

Vernon,

I will try and get a picture posted in the next couple of days of the quick attach pallet forks. I was just going to get their bale spear but thought I would get more use out the forks doing other chores around the house.

Thanks. My toothbar came late this afternoon. I like the quality of their work. The pallet forks are a near future purchase as I need to get a hydraulic top link first. My present driveway is packed dirt and is ruttted so I will be using the toothbar and my box blade to rework it. I am planning on moving the drive to minimize erosion so will keep it dirt for the time being.

To all; I ordered a Markham toothebar for my TC35 today. If the way your treated over the phone is any indication of the quality you guys say they have, I'll be satisfied. After calling around my area the best price I got was $480. Markham sold me one, a 72", with seven teeth for $250 plus $60 shipping.

One thing that really impressed me was the women who took my order, I don't remember "her", but she actually remembered me when I called back 6 hours later. Another stunning thing was that she had a real sense of humor and a personality at that!!!! Quite refreshing to say the least.

Dealing with these people was much like dealing with Toolcrib of the North for most of my tools. If you guys need tools, that is the place to go. If you get on line you are directed to Amazon, DON'T bother with them, the cribs number is there somewere, and call them direct. Amazon seems to me to be nothing but a boilerhouse outfit, and it will take at least 3 weeks versus 3 days to get your stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I ordered a 46" for my LA211 on Friday, Sept 3rd and received it yesterday, Thursday, Sept 9th. It was supposed to have been delivered on Wednesday, Sept 8th, but wasnt, so Markham will refund the $60.00 freight which makes the toothbar cost $150.00. Markham will get the refund from Conway Express , as they have a guaranteed service agreement on service days. I was really impressed with Leslie and Melissa at Markham, they both are great and called me back without making up excuses for what happened. I was in the freight business so I know what excuses the dispatcher uses (been there done that, got all of the different hats). The toothbar I ordered weights 80 lbs. I will install it this weekend hopefully, but it really looks heavy duty. I told Markham that I had heard about them on this site and they were familiar with us.
Now, I will just have to see what else Markham has that I can use. Go for it......
