Are you happy with it? Well constructed?

I contacted them and was quoted a very good price, $150 + $60 shipping. Makes me wonder why others charge $300 ish??

Let me know your thoughts.

I have one on my Kubota, 48" and I really do like it. As with anything for the tractor, it is an attachment and mine comes off as needed. It will improve your dig. The added weight is the only concern, but it is worth it.

I have one - mine was around $260 plus shipping (had them add an extra tooth - 8 I think instead of 7) Very well constructed in my opinion (I've used it to tear up 600' to 800' of old asphalt driveway)

No problems at all - other than I blew it on the measurement I gave them - I was an inch too long (thankfully I wasn't short on the measurement) and I had to remove the side brackets on both ends, cut a recess in the first tooth on either side, and weld the brackets back on.

The teeth are beginning to show some wear ... but that's to be expected after all the asphalt I've torn up I'd imagine. (The teeth are replacable) If I were going to be doing that kind of thing regularly it might pay to have the faces on the teeth hardened, by laying some bead on 'em.

I've had one a little over 2 weeks now.
Like many others have stated ; " I don't know how I got along without it ."
Markham builds a great bar at the best price I found!
Another plus, they have top notch customer service.

Thanks!

Just wanted to make sure, their price is so much lower than others. May just be a lack of third party markups.

Will order today and hopefully have early next week!

I bought a Markham toothbar 2 weeks ago and it is as good or better that the Woods toothbar that I bought 2 years ago. Plus they are great people to deal with and ship the same day! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Not right now they don't. They are nice, but are out of teeth right now and don't expect any till the end of July.

Wait for the deal, or spend more now..........

I think I'll wait for them. Saving $100 sounds good to me!

I have a Bx1500 and bought a markham from recommendations on this sight, is heavier duty than the bucket it's attached to. Great service, delivered in two days.

Yes, this site can be a boom for a quality manufacturer/retailer. When we order from them, we need to tell them about the "traffic" their name is getting. Then it's up to them to check it out and become a paid advertiser /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I must have just gotten mine ordered before they ran out !
60" with bolts $200. plus shipping $60 ,Shipper delayed one day and I was refunded the $60 shipping fee /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Quite heavy duty works great ,Sorry to hear they ran out of teeth or shanks, They have gotten a lot of mileage on this site,But for good reason,
First you talk to a real person who actually answers the phone not a automated voice telling you how important your call isn't to them! Their friendly not like your bothering them, Third they sell a good product for the right price, That's the way it should be! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'd also like to add to this thread that I just received an invoice from Markham that included a personalized note thanking me for my purchase and was hand signed. Now this is something that you just don't see anymore.

As an old friend used to say, "them's good people".

I have had mine for a week now and have to say I am very impressed with it. I am clearing three acres and have been using it nonstop since bolting it on. I have abused it and tested in in every way possible - pushing down trees, pulling stumps and rocks, dragging roots etc. This is by far the least expensive and most useful attachment I have. I am very pleased with the build quality and durability. They were also great to deal with.

I called around and surfed around a number of places. I found Markham, and they are right in my backyard! Office staff is courteous, helpful, and Alan, the builder took time to speak with me and go over how to measure for it.

Price is right, too. Compared with suppliers like Attachments International, Markham quoted $200 to AI's quote of $510.

I ordered my toothbar last Wednesday, and it arrived on Friday!

Unfortunately, I was in the middle of a move that turned out to be a bit more than we expected for a number of reasons, so the toothbar has done nothing but get set in place on the bucket, and removed when I had to mow and dig a bit over the weekend. I plan to drill the bucket for the bolts this week and get to digging with it this coming weekend. It sure makes my little 48" bucket look pretty mean.

Markham's customer service and delivery were top notch. And they also commented to me on how much business has picked up after the first TBN'er bought one from them. They're trying to figure out who it was that first bought one and put the word out.

The first reference to Markham came from dlgmt on 5/5/04.....he had a quoted price from them.

The first one to mention buying one was BigMike on 5/7/04.
