Hi Everybody,
Just wanted to give you an update on the white space/broken CSS issue that we have been experiencing for the past month. We upgraded the forum in part because of this issue, so to see it return this morning was most disheartening. However, we spent the entire day today tracking down the issue, and found that some key template files had not been updated during our upgrade. We ran an update on those, and the correct files (for the new forum software) are now loading. We have our fingers crossed that this was the culprit, but due to the sporadic frequency of the occurrences of the problem, we will reserve judgment until an extended period of time passes without any additional failures.
One of the issues we have faced is the fact that we can't duplicate the problem on command. If it were as simple as replacing a line of code, it would have been done a long time ago. If it happens again, we'll fix it ASAP and continue to seek a long-term solution.
Thank you for your understanding and patience! Tomorrow we'll get back to tweaking the new forum (unless of course the white space returns :laughing
