I am looking at getting a rear mount snow blower for my Kubota L3130. My kubota dealer has a brand called Meteor. I have not heard much about these. Does anyone have one. The New Holland dealers has the Pronovost Puma line, which I have heard many good things about. I like my Kubota dealer, but would definently buy the Puma if it is the better blower. I have looked at the Puma in person and it looks like a very high quality machine. I have only seen a picture of the Meteor, but I probably will be going to the Kubota place soon for another reason and will look at one in person. Any recommendations would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks

Get the Pronovost Puma.

I have a Pronovost P-740 and love it.

I am another satisfied Puma owner. 64" with hydraulic chute rotator.

I have a JRW 62" blower. Cheap Canadian no frills unit. After one full season under my belt with it, I'm pretty happy. About $1500.

Next season I'll add a swivel seat to the tractor.

Hi

I've got a 68" Meteor with hydraulic chute that I bought as part of my tractor package. It is not as heavy as my neighbors Smyth but plenty heavy enough for my use. The only thing I don't "like" about it is that it doesn't "seem" to throw the snow as far as my neighbors. I didn't have an opportunity to try them side by side but that is my impression.

Both are sold around here and from the small sampling Ive seen are equally prevalent. I have a Pronovost Puma and like but I also think the Meteor is pretty good. Id be interested to hear your assessment after looking over both units. What size are you looking at?

Thanks for all the opinions. I'm not completely sure on size yet. I'm thinking somewhere between 60" and 70". Anyone have any size recommendations for my L3130 Kubota?

What is the distance between the outter edges of your rear wheels? The width of the snowblower should at least cover this distance. You are probably looking at 64" - 72" for your tractor.

I haven't bought one yet, but I have seen the Woods, Puma, and Meteor. I would buy them in that order.

Thanks for all the help. I decided on the 74" Puma today. I probably won't be using it until next winter, but they only had 1 left in that size and thought there would probably be a price increase later in the year. I am leaving it at the dealer for a while though, because the warranty does not start until I pick it up. That way I don't have it sitting using up warranty when it is not being used. Thanks again for all the help
