joe if you really only want the hoe so you can dig a foundation rent one. It will be easer with a escavator ,larger bucket, more swing, easy move. But having one for other jobs makes life great:)

HI all,

I had a problem to log in yesterday.
I went to test drive them/Mahindra NH,JD/.
Nice , Mahindra gear shifting was easy. Clutch soft.Great tractor. I wish it had taller tires.....lol.
JD , I tested 33 HP, hydro, I loved the big tires. It felt like a BIG tractor. I can't care less about hydro, gear seemed to be more fun..?.
4x4 , nothing to think about. Definitively.
I want to see NH, too. There's so many aftermarket attachment available..tempting and expensive. BH will be rented. I'd have very limited use for it.
I had a great experience with both dealers yesterday. I was surprised. they were very GOOD.

Later,
Joe

My dealer told me the filter for the 15 series was very expensive, like $83, and I think he was talking about the fuel filter. Anybody know if that is true or not?

Thanks,

You can get a taller tire on the 3215. The ag tires are quite a bit larger. Regarding the filters, the air filter is the expensive one, but you can clean it several times yourself, and they are coming down in price. The dealers have beat Mahindra up pretty bad about the filter prices, and we have seen some reductions.

My fuel filter was reasonable about $7. The Hydro / hydraulic / and air filters are the expensive ones.

I checked out the JD 3320 specs. and it does spec out well against the Mahindra 3215 but it also appears that it is also quite a bit more expensive. As far as tire size in R1 ag tires they use the same size on the rear 11.2/24 and the front the Mahindra uses a 7x16 and the JD uses a 7x14. I don't see what you mean by bigger tires unless the JD had R1 ag tires and the Mahindra had R4 industrials. I am sure either tractor will do your job. You'll have to weigh your pros and cons and make a decision. Good Luck!

Galen,
thank you for your time and help.
I don't know what tires JD had , BUT they were tall and they were turf. That's all i know. i shoul've asked....
Now, this is the part you are going to love. JD quote came today, $ 26000 for 3320 with a grapple bucket./18000 for a tractor 8000 for FEL/grapple/.
Mahindra $16700 plus $800 for a two hydraulic ports. THAT is a big difference, since both will do whatever needed.
2 hydraulic ports /line for my grapple...........rake/ or whatever will catch and hold the brush. But the guy seemed to be little uneasy about my request, I mean 2 port and 2 lines. It must've been very unusual request, since he did not know the answer . WE could, we could try etc. Finally he said we will..?do it. Nice guy.

Now, there's also 3510 series tractor...weights 3400# and more or less is the same as 3215....4x4 gear. What would be a difference between those 2??
How much would a tractor /3510/ plus FEL weight, total w/fluids. Do you have those #'s available. actually just FEL weight is unknown to me.

Thanks,

Joe

Shipping weight is about 1250 for a Skid Steer Style ML112 on a pallet.

3215 3510 DIFFERENCES

3215 GEAR DRIVE - 3510 GEAR DRIVE
TRACTOR WEIGHT 2544# - 3483# - +939#
TRACTOR LENGTH 121.3" - 127" - +5.7"
LOADER LIFT CAP. 1410# - 1972# - +562#
3PH LIFT CAP. 2646# - 2865# - +219#
LOADER BUCKET 60" - 72"
REAR TIRES AG 11.2X24 - 12.4X24
FRONT TIRES AG 7X16 - 8X16

The 3510 is quite a bit more tractor than the 3215 or the JD 3320.

Is 3510 also made by Mitsubishi in Japan...or in India?
I think I'd still be able to haul it with my F 150.

Thanks,
Joe

The 3510 is made for Mahindra by TYM in S. Korea are you looking at the gear or hydro?

I haul my 3510 w/fel and hd shredder on a 18' pipe rail, extra wide trailer. No problems pulling or braking with my F-150 2WD. I do have a tow package on the pickup.I do'nt have trailer brakes, but suggest them.

Have you added up the total potential weight of the tractor and attachments, plus trailer and compared that with the towing capacity of your truck? It would be good info to have before your committed to a purchase.
The 3510 gear is no lightweight, especially with loaded rears.

The only possible disadvantage a Mahindra could have over a JD is resale value. Having just made the move from a cub cadet SCUT to a JD CUT I can personally attest to the rapid depreciation once it leaves the dealer's lot. Having looked at a lot of used Mahindra's and Kioti's over the last few months they seem to depreciate pretty quickly as well.
You might be able to work that to your advantage. If you have a little time, keep an eye out for Mahindra 3215's or Cub Cadet 7532's (which are identical machines manufactured by Mitsubishi). There was a like new cub cadet 7532 with loader on tractorhouse a couple months back for like 14.5 as I recall.

Happy shopping.
