I agree - I have an 8 foot pull type disk that my 5200 John Deere (40 HP) pulls, but it is a load in good soil if it cuts deep. My tractor is a utility with a FEL, not a CUT, so I assume it weighs a bit more. I would have actually preferred a 6 or 7, but I found a good deal on the 8 when I bought it.

I would not think you could pull anything larger than a 6 or 7 with your tractor, especially with R4s.

I agree with a 6 or 7 ft. for your tractor.

We have a New Holland-TN75 4x4 and in sandy loam soil (well mostly sand) a 10 ft. causes it to struggle a bit until 4 wheel is engaged. But we had it socked in trying to turn under a heavy growth of sunflowers and the gangs set at max angle.
