Which Brush Cutter?

All, I have been contemplating doing some increase mowing exercises - going into an area rendomly designated as forest preserve and cleanmng out the lower non-native brush, with a brush cuter, and since I got the 4310, I have been wondering which cutter would be a good one for the 4310? Any suggestions would be appreiciated!

I've used a Land Pride for 2-4 acres for the last 4 years. It's a 60" standard duty unit...no complaints here. I must admit, I've ran it over brush that I probably shouldn't have and the cutter hasn't let me down.

Get a Woods. Then you don't have to fight with changing the cutter blades. Instead of using a huge socket such as a 1.625" or larger with a cheater bar, you can use a 5/8" socket on a 3/8" drive ratchet.

JerryG, but isn't the smaller nut an indication of a potentially weaker shaft?

No. The smaller bolt is just to hold a retainer that keeps the larger pin in for the blades. The pin is as large as the retaining bolt in other mowers. See attachment. Sorry about the size, it's a little large.

I wish my cutter had that setup. My '03 Woods BB60 has the big nut. I bought a better impact and a big socket to remove the blades.
