Where did everyone go? The site seems empty, never going to get a site upgrade if no one is here!

I think everyone is making the final push to get all of summers projects wrapped up before winter sets in.

You know I'm around every eveving! Wednesdays and sundays are usually my tractor days. Just haven't had much exciting to report on.

Wow. You have specific days to operate the tractor. I go out to play with mine whenever the urge comes to me or I need to use it for chores.

Well, I still work every day, and my tractor is at my other property. I take wednesdays off, and I also have my sundays! So thats my days for getting things done.

Morning all!

I usually check at least once or twice per day for posts, but its been rare these days to find any responses. The only thing my LS is doing is setting under the shed. I did a little touch up with some black paint today on it and looked for several minutes trying to find a place to mount a tool box. There just doesnt seem to be anywhere to put one big enough to hold a hammer and 12" crescent wrench. I had a large one (didnt use it any more) mounted on the front grill guard but it blocked the lights, not that I do any night work and I still have the cab lights that I turned on when I bought the tractor to see where the switch was and havent been on since.
Anyway, if any one can think of a place to put a tool box on a P7010C let me know. So far the best place I have found to carry any tools is on the floor behind the seat. Just have to be cognizant of the glass back there and not just toss them back there. About the only place I could see to put a decent sized box would be to remove the steps or at least modify them on the right side since I rarely get off on that side anyway due to the FEL controls, throttle, gearshift etc that you have to snake around.
That seems to be the thing with all tractors now is that when they do furnish a tool box it can only hold a 6" screwdriver or similar tool.

Gary, I took off the right step on my tractor and mounted a tool box.

Bob, how many hours have you got on that machine??? I still see whiskers on those tires !!! LOL

I've been thinking about how to mount a box on mine as well. I'm thinking more along the lines of building a deep tray that would mount behind the seat between the ROPS. ??

Yes sir it has about 41 hours and most of that is on grass or dirt. When those photos were taken it was about 25 hours.

Well I don't know where to mount a tool box when you have a cab but there was a thread on the NH site not long ago that showed a tool box kit from NH (for the LS NH's) that had brackets to mount the tool box between the ROP risers.

I have a tool box about the same size as what Bob mounted and I have looked everywhere placing the tool box hear and there. On the right had steps, dropping down below the door is about the only place other than mounting it on the front grill guard or the FEL arms. The FEL arms on my tractor are higher than my head so that would make it impossible to see in the box. I had one mounted on the grill guard but it was a pain to get into with the FEL lowered so I took it off. I guess I will sacrafice the right hand steps and build a bracket to hold the box or just keep on doing what I have been doing and putting them behind the seat. This does work ok as for storage because it is always dry and they are fairly easy to reach as long as you are in the cab. Have to climb back up if you are on the ground. I did think that one of the P7010's that I looked at had a small tool box on it, but mine didnt have one when I got it. Weird. I have to make a point of looking at the new ones if I ever go back to the dealer.

Weather up here has been kinda crumby this Summer. The weather has improved substantially though and I have been putting in some seat time on the new tractor. Got stuff done, made a few mistakes, But man I've been having a good time!
