Where do I start? Long road ahead - first tractor purchase

I haven’t noticed any significant fit and finish issues with my CK 4010 Kioti. The cab is actually pretty nice, all things considered, and both the heater and a/c work well. The tractor has been reliable, and, in my opinion, a good value.

The 40 hp is well matched to the front blower, but the tractor is too light to fully utilize the power when using the box blade, though, and I don’t think I would want to spend much time raking a beach, unless the soil is quite firm. These small tractors don’t do well in quagmires.

I suggest you open a dialogue with your local dealers. They should be familiar with your local conditions and know what works, and doesn’t work locally. Whatever you choose will be a compromise, given your widely opposing requirements re weight and function.

Hi all

I ended up with an L6060 since there was one on the lot and I liked it very much.
GREAT CHOICE - I wish that I had a need for something like that. My Kubota BX23S does just fine for our purposes.

You bought a great machine. I loved them but both the cost and a not so good dealer killed the Kubota for me.

Before buying the front blower look closely at how the sub-frame is mounted. They can be a PITA and then you need to store it when not in use. My tractor would take a front blower but the sub-frame and crawling on my back to deal with the mid PTO where of concern. I went with a pull type rear blower and it works very well. I get 120-140" of snow a year.

If you have not taken delivery of the tractor yet talk to the dealer about tires. My dealer suggested over size turfs and RimGuard. Turfs are supposed to be better in snow so went with his recommendation. You can always mount chains on any tire but they are neither cheap or easy to put on. But I am 70 so making things easy is important...plus I am not getting any younger. I wanted something my fiancé could deal with if I got in a bad way.
