I am curious and full of dread about this winter. The last couple of years we've had so little snow. Lots of rain, in winter, but not so much snow, and I've been enjoying that lack of snow.
Enter 2021, and we've had 5 of 7 days a week cool, cloudy, and often with rain. If you look at the national weather charts, we're definitely below temp and above precipitation compared to usual for the summer.
I'm worried that the above average precipitation will continue into winter with weather cold enough to make it snow. We'll see. This week, if the forecast is right, will be one of the few where it hasn't been completely cloudy most of the week. Though they've completely revised the forecast on sunday from the projected clouds and intermittent showers to one that's a bit more sunny.
Really seemed like we had Washington state's weather since June. So muddy I couldn't do some of the things I wanted to do with my tractor because the ground is just too wet. Even now, my field is only half cut because of rain.
