I was reading the owner's manual for my 4110 and it said that when installing cast iron wheel weights that they should be installed with the wheels in the "narrow" position for improved stability.

This seems counter intuitive- what am I missing?

My guess is its the way they worded it which makes it confusing. I think it shoud be worded "When wheels are set in the narrow position, wheel weight can be used to improve stability"

We are all missing the times when the folks writing the manuals actually understood the product AND simple physics.

This kind of stupidity is not brand-specific.

I bought a 500,000 BTU "flamethrower" type propane burning wand to burn weeds and start brush fires. Will start a roaring fire in mere moments.

The owner's manual said it was "not safe for indoor use."

I guess they don't want the custome to use the flame thrower as a commercial creme brulee torch! :)

I agree, it is a typo... I checked a later 2520 manual on line and it says wide position.

LOL!,, Yeah, some of the information in the manuals, one would think are obvious, however, there are a ton of people who don't realize the obvious.
